The default configuration for JetNexus is to exclude compression for all javascript files, and yet the info on your website suggests that javascript files can be compressed.
We are using Jetnexus V2.7.0 (build 115)
Why is this default exclusion set ? Are there any problems with compressing javascript include files ?
Secondly if there is a problem is it specific to Jetnexus for IIS as we are about to implement a load balancing solution using your Alba devices ?
Thanks

When this version of the software was released browsers were unreliable at decompressing javascript. This was in the days of IE 5 and netscape 7.
To prevent browsers mis-displaying the page Javascript was excluded. The newer versions of jetNEXUS for IIS include Javascript. The latest version as of this post is jetNEXUS for IIS 2.7.5 (build 165). It can be obtained from http://www.jetnexus.com/contact_us.html
